Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints

Are there any secret doors and treasures in here?

  • 1 of 11: Naturally.
  • 2 of 11: There are two secret doors in the circularish room you emerge in when you first come in from the Passage Under Regna.
  • 3 of 11: They're both on the center section that you can walk all around.
  • 4 of 11: One's on the east side of the north wall.
  • 5 of 11: The other's on the west side of the south wall.
  • 6 of 11: They both lead to pirates and treasure chests.
  • 7 of 11: The chest in the southern area has the artifact called Mace of the Sun. That'll come in handy for your best mace-wielder when you're bashing your way through the elemental planes.
  • 8 of 11: If you explore the north part of the keep, you'll find a long N/S hallway with lots of rooms on the right that have Ogres and treasure cabinets.
  • 9 of 11: There's also a secret door on the left at the very north end.
  • 10 of 11: There are two treasure chests behind it, but don't get too excited. The top chest is an alias for the chest with the Mace of the Sun. If you plunder one of them, you've plundered them both.
  • 11 of 11: One last thing. As you explore toward the SW of the keep, you'll encounter what looks like a dead-end hallway, but just click on the brick wall at the end and it'll open, revealing the room from which you can open the one-way door that gave you trouble earlier if you entered the keep via the main entrance.
