Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
How do the teleporter things work?
1 of 7: They're called Portals of Stone, and each will teleport you to its "partner" elsewhere in the Dagger Wound Island area if you either step onto the teleporter or click on it while standing next to it.
2 of 7: That is, it will if its Power Stone hasn't been removed.
3 of 7: When you talk to Brekish Onefang in the Clan Leader's Hall about "Portals of Stone" and "Quest," he'll give you the Power Stone that activates the teleporter near the SW end of the main island.
4 of 7: Before you go do that, find Fredrick Talimere in his hut at the SE end of Blood Drop.
5 of 7: If you have Talimere join you, he'll have the Power Stone for the next teleporter in sequence. If you decide not to have him join you, a duplicate Power Stone will appear in one of the four chests on the island that the first teleporter takes you to.
6 of 7: As for the teleporters in the village, one of them already works and takes you near one of the big pirate regeneration points. You can use it as a quick way to return to town if you try fighting the pirates out there and don't do so well.
7 of 7: The other teleporter in town won't work until you reach the island with the boat docks (via the Abandoned Temple) and use the teleporter there. After that, you can use the one in town to zap straight back to the docks instead of having to go through the Abandoned Temple again.
