Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
Notes and Extras
1 of 5: The town fountain restores spell points an unlimited number of times as well as enabling you to Town Portal here.
2 of 5: A ways east of that is a well that will add a permanent +2 to Intellect for any character who has an Intellect less than 16.
3 of 5: There's a treasure chest out in the open NE of the Vampire Crypt, plus one more hiding underneath the raised walkway that leads to the Mad Necromancer's Lab's front door (cast Water Walk before going for it).
4 of 5: Besides all the Obsidian fragments you can find lying on the ground all over the place, there's a "Valley of Death" of sorts to the east of the Necromancers' Guild that has a nice variety of items. There's also a random item next to the guild building, around on the east side.
5 of 5: There are people in houses in the town of Twilight who can turn ore lumps into armor, weapons, and items. As for which of those you should go for, I'd always have items made unless you particularly need armor or weapons. As with all random things, you could save outside the ore-convertin' guys' houses and then restore and try again if they don't give you enough good stuff.
