Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
Bounty Hunter Promotions
1 of 6: Each month, a bounty will be put on a randomly-chosen creature.
2 of 6: The creature is chosen randomly the first time you enter a Guild of Bounty Hunters building (in Ravenshore or Alvar) in a particular month, so you might want to save outside the door and restore your game and try again if the bounty is put on something that's totally out of reach.
3 of 6: Once you gather a total of $10,000 or more in bounties, you can get promoted to Novice Bounty Hunter.
4 of 6: You probably won't be able to do that until you can Town Portal and/or Lloyd's Beacon your way around. That always makes going after particular monsters much easier to do in a timely manner.
5 of 6: To see what your current bounty total is, view your hero and check his awards. (If the total is still 0, there won't be an entry for it yet.)
6 of 6: After you're a Novice Bounty Hunter, you can become a journeyman when your total reaches $30,000 and a master when your total reaches $70,000. The only benefit to doing this (besides the money) is the experience points you get for promotions.
