Might and Magic IX Hints
Patches
Unfortunately, the 3DO company seems to be out of business, and their support website is long gone. They did release a v1.2 patch for MM9 before disappearing, and that original patch can still be gotten from several fan-based websites, including Carg85's Might and Magic IX page (http://www.xs4all.nl/~camilleb/MM9) and Klaravoyia's MM9 site (http://www.keytech.com/~klar).
Those sites also have unofficial patch files that fix problems that the official patch didn't fix, including the notorious Writ of Fate and Win-a-Prize main quest problems.
I myself have created a patch for the game's DATA.REZ file so that the artifact hammer Thjorad can be equipped and used. (Note that if you've installed any patches other than the official v1.2 patch, you'll probably need to reinstall them after installing my patched DATA.REZ.)
