What am I supposed to get at the south end of this level?
- 1 of 9: A vital key.
- 2 of 9: The one to the locked and blocked door that's back up north, to be exact.
- 3 of 9: As you approach the southern room, watch out for the fireball traps in the east wall that fire at you when you're on certain trapped floor sections. The best strategy is to run across in a zig-zag fashion so as to dodge most of the fireballs.
- 4 of 9: When you reach the door, save your game and then open the door. When you move far enough into the room, a puzzle-lock door like the ones on the two nearby rooms will seal behind you.
- 5 of 9: Try to get the attention of some of the Demons and Floating Eyes in the room and lure them outside before the puzzle-lock door seals so you can fight them one or two at a time.
- 6 of 9: When you're done killing monsters, raid the three black chests in the room for items, remembering that you need a level 8 Disarm Trap master at least to avoid trap damage.
- 7 of 9: The middle chest has the key you need for the locked door. (It also has a scroll with a clue as to how to solve the puzzle doors, but you don't need that when you have me.)
- 8 of 9: Make sure you kill all the monsters in the room before you leave, since doing that is what causes the barrier over the locked door to slide aside.
- 9 of 9: Behind the locked door are stairs that lead down to the lower level.
