Might and Magic IX Hints
Lindisfarne
1 of 5: Those of you who've played MM9 using my hints before will undoubtedly have guessed why Lindisfarne is an early destination in the aggressive campaign.
2 of 5: That's right! Thjorad!!! Run on over to the Lindisfarne Monastery and nab that beautiful artifact weapon, even though you probably won't have a high enough Might stat yet to use it. You'll want to have it handy the moment you become capable of wielding it.
3 of 5: However, you're also here to get the Book of Rules from the Ta'Sar Academy, so be sure to do that at some point, too.
4 of 5: Lindisfarne is another two-day stop, so take the time to thoroughly thrash everything that you can before setting sail for Thronheim on the 20th.
5 of 5: NOTE: If you can make it to the Dragon's Lair, you might be able to nab a few artifact items with a bit of patience. Since you don't have the Lloyd's Beacon spell yet, you'll need to sneak around the perimeter of the cave in turn-based mode so the dragon won't see you. See the General Combat Tips for more info on this gimmick. If you had an IMMENSE amount of patience, you could conceivably nab all 55 remaining artifacts now (though you may miss the boat to Thronheim and be off the schedule).
