Might and Magic IX Hints
Notes and Extras
1 of 5: When you find a Lobber hanging from the ceiling, you can get mucho experience by just waiting and shooting all the Lobber Pods it hurls at you instead of shooting it down right away. The pods are wimps and should be fairly easy to kill, especially if you've trained up a few levels by now and become Bow experts. Pump the things for experience and go train some more before descending to level 2. (Matter of fact, get into position and then put a fair-sized steel ball bearing on the A key (if you've defined it for attack) and go do something else while your characters rack up the XP!)
2 of 5: Even though the area's Lock Difficulty rating is 2, you only have to have a Disarm Trap skill of 1 to open the treasure chests. (The locked treasure crypts require a 2.)
3 of 5: To get a treasure bag from a Rotter that rises from a crypt, you have to kill him quickly before he can climb out of the crypt.
4 of 5: There are some little trash piles on level 2 that can be raided for items, but like the bone piles in the outdoor Sturmford area, you could get disease from them.
5 of 5: The treasure chests in this area regenerate every time you leave and reenter (but the treasure crypts don't).
