Might and Magic IX Hints
Break up the ice that surrounds the docks.
1 of 10: This is the second of the two quests that Tryygva Ravenlocks gives you to do before he'll join the alliance.
2 of 10: Is there anyone around that might have the equipment necessary?
3 of 10: How about some fireworks to melt the ice?
4 of 10: Bodvar Elvissen is a fireworks dealer.
5 of 10: You can find him standing next to a demonstration barrel at the west edge of town.
6 of 10: Talk to him about making a delivery to the docks.
7 of 10: Then walk out onto the pier until you can see the barrel in the distance.
8 of 10: Shoot the thing to set off the fireworks and melt most of the ice.
9 of 10: Then go report success to Jarl Tryygva to finish this quest and open the Frosgard docks for business.
10 of 10: You can now go talk to the guy on the pier about clearing the docks, and he'll give you an in-game copy of the boat schedule.
