How can I dispose of the deadly piranha poodles?

  • 1 of 28: You need to either drug or distract the poodles long enough for you to get by.
  • 2 of 28: Try throwing them some food.
  • 3 of 28: You can pick up a hunk of meat in the kitchen of the SCUMM Bar.
  • 4 of 28: But that doesn't distract them long enough.
  • 5 of 28: I guess you need to drug the meat somehow.
  • 6 of 28: Who would know more about illegal activities than any pirate or sheriff?
  • 7 of 28: A prisoner would.
  • 8 of 28: Visit the prison on the far side of town.
  • 9 of 28: You'll need to talk to Otis, the prisoner.
  • 10 of 28: Has he mentioned what he got arrested for?
  • 11 of 28: Sheriff Shinetop incarcerated him for picking the Caniche Endormi, a yellow flower.
  • 12 of 28: What does Endormi mean in Italian?
  • 13 of 28: Dormi is the root for such words as "dormitory" and "dormant."
  • 14 of 28: It means "sleep."
  • 15 of 28: So the Caniche Endormi must cause sleep.
  • 16 of 28: Have you seen any yellow flowers?
  • 17 of 28: Where is the logical place for them to grow?
  • 18 of 28: Where do most shrubs grow?
  • 19 of 28: In the woods.
  • 20 of 28: Pay a visit to the "Fork," above the "Lookout," on the general map of Melee Island.
  • 21 of 28: Explore the woods a little bit.
  • 22 of 28: The screen above the entrance to the forest has some yellow flowers on it.
  • 23 of 28: Pick them.
  • 24 of 28: You need to get the dogs to eat them.
  • 25 of 28: But the dogs won't just eat the flowers by themselves.
  • 26 of 28: You need to stick it into something they like.
  • 27 of 28: Like meat.  (If you lost your hunk of meat, pick up more from the kitchen.)
  • 28 of 28: Use the picked flower with the meat, and feed it to the dogs.
