The Secret of Monkey Island Hints

Where can I find the treasure?

  • 1 of 11: You'll need a map.
  • 2 of 11: Now, where's the most logical place for a treasure to be hidden?
  • 3 of 11: It's someplace maze-like...
  • 4 of 11: And in the middle of nowhere.
  • 5 of 11: Someplace like the woods.
  • 6 of 11: You can go to the woods by traveling to the place labeled "Fork" above the "Lookout" on the general map of Melee Island.
  • 7 of 11: Now, use your map.
  • 8 of 11: You'll need to look at it.
  • 9 of 11: Go the directions indicated on the map once you have entered the woods. Ignore the numbers.  Left, 2, 3 means go left once, NOT three times.
  • 10 of 11: Once you reach the final screen where the map leads you, go to the right to find the X.
  • 11 of 11: Now you need to dig it up.
