How can I get the crypt key from Stan?
  • 1 of 12: You're going to have to steal it from him.
  • 2 of 12: The best time to try to take it is when he's busy.
  • 3 of 12: Busy selling his coffins.
  • 4 of 12: Talk to him, and one of the dialog options will get him to climb into his coffin to demonstrate it to you.
  • 5 of 12: While Stan is in the coffin, you might be able to get a bit of a break.
  • 6 of 12: You can do something to keep him from observing you.
  • 7 of 12: Close the coffin.
  • 8 of 12: If you try to get the key now, you should find that Stan is just a bit too quick in getting out of the coffin.  You'll need to slow him down in opening that lid.
  • 9 of 12: Why not shut it permanently?
  • 10 of 12: You could nail it shut with the proper items.
  • 11 of 12: The woodsmith on Scabb Island has a hammer and nails.
  • 12 of 12: When you close the coffin, just use the nails in it (Guybrush should hammer them in automatically), and Stan will be locked in.  Then, you can take the crypt key without any problem.
