The Curse of Monkey Island Hints

Cutthroat Bill

  • 1 of 14: You need to show him something valuable.
  • 2 of 14: Like something made of gold.
  • 3 of 14: Captain Blondebeard has a gold tooth.
  • 4 of 14: Talk to Blondebeard for a bit, and you'll find out that he wants something crunchy.
  • 5 of 14: Cutthroat Bill at the Barbery Coast is a jawbreaker fan.
  • 6 of 14: Give him the jawbreaker.  This will cause his tooth to become very loose.
  • 7 of 14: You still have to give him something else to get the tooth out of his mouth.
  • 8 of 14: He wants something chewy.
  • 9 of 14: Like gum.
  • 10 of 14: You could buy a pack of gum at the Voodoo Priestess's ship, with one of your wooden nickels.
  • 11 of 14: Notice that the tooth ends up in his gum bubble.
  • 12 of 14: Burst his bubble.
  • 13 of 14: Use the pin (also from the Voodoo Priestess's ship), and the tooth will fall to the floor.  Take it.
  • 14 of 14: Once you have the tooth, show it to Cutthroat Bill, and you'll get him to join your crew.
