How do I get into the bank?

  • 1 of 17: The bank manager won't let you in the front door.  Do you see anywhere else where you might be able to enter the building?
  • 2 of 17: Perhaps you could take advantage of the manhole nearby.
  • 3 of 17: First, you need to open it.
  • 4 of 17: Guybrush can't open it with his bare hands.  He needs to pry it open somehow.
  • 5 of 17: Don't you have an item in your inventory that you've previously used for prying?
  • 6 of 17: Use the sword on the manhole.
  • 7 of 17: Well, you can't get in through the manhole.  But you can still try to get in through the window.
  • 8 of 17: The manhole cover provides a clue.  Examine it.
  • 9 of 17: Now, go around town and talk to people.  Sooner or later, you'll see where the clue can be used.
  • 10 of 17: You can use the clue in a conversation with Deadeye Dave (in the Palace of Prostheses).
  • 11 of 17: Say you're looking for prosthetic gifts for your friends.
  • 12 of 17: You don't have any money to buy one, though.  Ask what you can get for free.
  • 13 of 17: Here's where you use the clue from the manhole cover.
  • 14 of 17: Fill in the blanks of Dave's story with the names on the manhole cover.  You should get prosthetic skin.  If not, check the names and try again.
  • 15 of 17: The prosthetic skin is kind of elastic.  How could you use this to help you get in the window?
  • 16 of 17: Maybe you could make a trampoline with it.
  • 17 of 17: Use the skin on the manhole and then use your trampoline.
