How do I stop the catapult operator?

  • 1 of 17: First, talk to the voodoo lady.  She might be able to help.
  • 2 of 17: She tells you that you must "use their own instruments against them."  What instruments might she be talking about?
  • 3 of 17: You need some way to redirect the boulders at the catapult operator.
  • 4 of 17: You're not going to be able to do much with him standing there, though.
  • 5 of 17: He mentions that if you give him some snacks, he'll temporarily stop flinging boulders at your house.
  • 6 of 17: The kudu jerky pretzels from the SCUMM Bar should do nicely.
  • 7 of 17: Give the pretzels to the operator.
  • 8 of 17: While he's gone, you need to do something to mess him up.
  • 9 of 17: Tinker with the catapult controls.
  • 10 of 17: When he returns, he has to use the "calibration cactus".
  • 11 of 17: Maybe you could use this against him.
  • 12 of 17: Note the distinctive shape of the funny-looking cactus.  Remind you of anything?
  • 13 of 17: How about a giant slingshot?
  • 14 of 17: It's missing an essential piece, though.
  • 15 of 17: You need something to act as the rubber band.
  • 16 of 17: Use the popped inner tube from the harbor on the cactus.
  • 17 of 17: Then, mess around with the catapult again, and when he fires another calibration shot, it will come back to him and destroy the catapult.
