Escape from Monkey Island Hints
How do I get the clock?
of 10: The chess players are watching it too closely for you to just take it. You need to distract them somehow.
of 10: Maybe if you got them more concerned with each other, they wouldn't notice that their clock was gone.
of 10: If you get one of them to mess up a move, they'll start to get angry at one another.
of 10: Start with the portly one. Yell out something distracting (usually a reference to food) right as he's trying to move.
of 10: This should start a minor argument between the two men. If it didn't, try again.
of 10: Now you need to find something to use against the skinny guy.
of 10: The portly man might be able to help.
of 10: Ask the portly man about the skinny one, and you'll soon find out that he has a thing for Brittany, the bank teller.
of 10: Employ the same distract-while-moving technique on the skinny man, this time yelling out something about Brittany.
of 10: This should instigate a fight between the two men, and the clock is yours for the taking.
