Velfred the Outlaw
  • 1 of 8: You have to be a Kinsman at least and complete all of Odral Helvi's quests in order to get this one.
  • 2 of 8: In this quest, you need to find Velfred the Outlaw and get him to pay smuggling fees to Great House Hlaalu, or else!
  • 3 of 8: Velfred is standing around on his ship a little ways SW of Hla Oad in the Balmora region (location 28 on the Balmora map).
  • 4 of 8: Take either ship in the Vivec region to Hla Oad, then go find Velfred.
  • 5 of 8: To get him to agree to cut Hlaalu in on the profits, you'll have to get his disposition up to 75 or more.
  • 6 of 8: You could just kill him instead, but you'll only get $500 from Curio instead of the full $1,000 for convincing him to cooperate.
  • 7 of 8: In either case, you can enter the various compartments in Velfred's ship and find lots of loot, including raw ebony. In any compartment with only one person, you can kill that person without anyone else knowing about it.
  • 8 of 8: When you're done, head back to Curio and report success. (You can also mention the ash statues to him if you found them in Velfred's ship, but that doesn't get you anything extra. Don't mention them to Velfred!)
