Recovering Cloudcleaver
  • 1 of 14: Deep-Raed isn't the only barbarian around here who's been robbed by a witch. Hlormar Wine-Sot at location 26 on the Ald'ruhn map is another one.
  • 2 of 14: He's not diseased or paralyzed, but his cool magic axe has been stolen, and he asks you to help him find the thieving witch who took it.
  • 3 of 14: Sosia Caristiana is just a bit north and west of Wine-Sot, at location 40 on the map.
  • 4 of 14: Lead Wine-Sot there, then talk to Sosia about his axe Cloudcleaver.
  • 5 of 14: She offers to meet him in three days at the Caldera Mages Guild.
  • 6 of 14: Save your game, then talk to Wine-Sot about Sosia's offer.
  • 7 of 14: He won't like it, and will demand that you take sides.
  • 8 of 14: If you take Sosia's side, Wine-Sot will attack you, and you'll have to kill him. Sosia will give you some potions as a reward, but that's no big deal.
  • 9 of 14: The much better way to do this is to side with Wine-Sot, then let him beat up on Sosia for awhile.
  • 10 of 14: All he'll be able to do with his fists is knock her down periodically. You could quickly raid her for stuff when he does, but you may get caught up in a game glitch if you do.
  • 11 of 14: It's better to wait until Wine-Sot pounds her a bit, then move in with a weapon and kill her.
  • 12 of 14: Loot her dead body to get her magic staff, Wine-Sot's magic axe, and all the potions she would have given you if you'd sided with her.
  • 13 of 14: As soon as you do so, Wine-Sot will demand his axe back. Give it to him and he'll give you some fighting tips that will raise your Strength attribute by two.
  • 14 of 14: Then you can kill Wine-Sot and get his magic axe, if you want to. (Just remember that he'll use the axe in the battle.)
