Pledge from Canctunian Ponius
  • 1 of 12: Your last quest for Truptor is yet another you-could-pay-it-yourself-right-away donation quest.
  • 2 of 12: This time, it's Canctunian Ponius of the East Empire Company who's holding out on a donation that he promised.
  • 3 of 12: Go talk to Ponius in his office in the East Empire Company Hall, which is just east of Castle Ebonheart.
  • 4 of 12: He'll complain that he can't pay the $1,000 because some crooked clerk ran off with three times that amount recently.
  • 5 of 12: Volunteer to hunt the crook down. It's the only way you'll get Ponius to pony up the donation money.
  • 6 of 12: Talk to him to find out that he did it for love, and to be given some options.
  • 7 of 12: You can successfully demand the return of the gold with no promises if his disposition is 70 or higher, or your Speechcraft skill is 30 or better.
  • 8 of 12: You can get the gold by promising secrecy if his disposition is 70 or higher, your Personality is 45 or better, or your Reputation is 10 or more.
  • 9 of 12: As a last resort, you could kill him for the gold, but only do that if all else fails and you don't want to wait until your skills increase before finishing this quest.
  • 10 of 12: He only hands over $2,500 since he spent the other $500, but that's okay. Return to Ebonheart and turn the money over to Ponius. (You could lie and say you only got $1,000 if you want to.)
  • 11 of 12: After that, talk to Ponius about his pledge again to get the thousand that he promised.
  • 12 of 12: Then go hand the money over to Truptor to finish his line of quests and get the valuable Zenithar Whispers amulet.
