The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Deliver the slave.

  • 1 of 16: You get this quest by finding Relam Arinith in the cellar of Fatleg's Drop Off in Hla Oad and talking to him about "doing some business" and "deliver this slave."
  • 2 of 16: Once you agree to make the delivery, Rabinna will follow you around.
  • 3 of 16: So leave Fatleg's Drop Off and make your way to Balmora City, making sure she's right behind you at all times.
  • 4 of 16: If she gets killed along the way, search her body to find the moon sugar that she was forced to swallow for this delivery. Take it and continue on.
  • 5 of 16: Either way, go to Vorar Helas' house, which is in the NE corner of the east section of Balmora City.
  • 6 of 16: Both his doors are locked, so you'll have to open one of them with a lockpick or a spell.
  • 7 of 16: Once inside, Helas will start attacking Rabinna if she's with you. Just wait until he kills her, then talk to him to get your reward of 400 gold and a Ring of Medusa's Gaze.
  • 8 of 16: If Rabinna got killed and you took the moon sugar from her corpse, then talk to Helas about "Relam Arinith" and then "Vorar's moon sugar." You'll only get 200 gold and no ring, but Helas doesn't actually take the sugar, so you can go sell it to Ra'Virr or Ajira in the Mages Guild. (And you can always kill Helas to get the ring and the other 200 gold.)
  • 9 of 16: With all of that said, there is a third and much better way to complete this quest.
  • 10 of 16: You're going to lead the slave to freedom instead of delivering her to her death.
  • 11 of 16: In order to do it, you have to talk to Rabinna before you talk to Arinith. Get her disposition up to 50 or higher however you can. If trying to admire her doesn't work, then bribe her 10 gold until you get there.
  • 12 of 16: Then talk to Arinith to get Rabinna assigned to you, and talk to her again.
  • 13 of 16: Talk about "Relam Arinith", "deliver the payment", and "hope of escape" to get the option to deliver her to freedom.
  • 14 of 16: Now when you take off, don't head toward Balmora City. Instead, take the nearby boat to Ebonheart. (Make sure Rabinna is right next to you when you pay for passage so she doesn't get left behind.)
  • 15 of 16: When you enter the Argonian Mission building, Rabinna will part company with you and say she's safe there. Talk to Im-Kilaya to get your reward of 400 gold and a 10-point disposition increase with the Twin Lamps abolitionists.
  • 16 of 16: And you can always go to Balmora City and kill Vorar Helas to get 400 more gold and the magic ring, plus all the other stuff in his house.
