Resist Magicka
Wearing constant Resist Magicka items is very useful when facing magic-casting opponents or when equipping items like the Boots of Blinding Speed that attempt to put a negative magic effect on you.
Checking the list below, you'll see that the Savior's Hide cuirass combined with just the Ring of Phynaster and Mara's Blouse will give a 90% magicka resistance. Once you get Wraithguard, it'll be 100%! Just remember that magicka resistance doesn't protect against spells that have shock, fire, frost, poison, paralysis, or disease effects.
Item Strength Location ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cuirass of the 60% The Hall of Fyr in Tel Fyr (Tel Aruhn) Savior's Hide Ebony Mail 20% Reward for Saryoni's last Temple faction quest Ring of Phynaster 20% Senim Ancestral Tomb (Ald Daedroth) Mara's Blouse 10% In Berandas (Gnisis) while doing Lalatia Varian's Imperial Cult quest to get the Boots of the Apostle Wraithguard 10% Vivec has it in his palace (Vivec)
There are no items that cast a powerful (50% or more) Resist Magicka when used, but you can enchant items to do so fairly easily. For instance, an exquisite ring or amulet could be made to cast a 100% Resist Magicka for a duration of up to 12 seconds.
