The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Is it possible to join more than one Great House faction?
1 of 6: You're not supposed to ever be able to.
2 of 6: It can only be done via game glitches and cheats.
3 of 6: You can glitch your way into House Hlaalu by playing the Main Quest series along until you finish the "Hlaalu Hortator" subquest and then talking to Duke Dren in Ebonheart's Grand Council Chambers about "Camonna Tong." (He'll say he's promoting you to Grandmaster rank, but he doesn't right away. You can keep talking to him about the same dialogue topic to quickly rise through the ranks, though.) This bug is still unfixed as of patch version 1.6.1820.
4 of 6: To cheat your way into the Great Houses, see the "Faction-Related Commands" section in the PC Cheat Codes.
5 of 6: Once you're a member of two or more Great Houses, you can do quests for all of them. However, things can get difficult to handle with the quests where one Great House tells you to attack members of another, and the other tells you to do just the opposite.
6 of 6: Also, you can get a second construction contract by pickpocketing or killing Duke Dren, but the construction on your second stronghold may permanently stall at some point.
