The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Get the lost prophecies for Maesa.

  • 1 of 27: When you report your cured state to Cosades, he'll break the news that he's been recalled to the Imperial City of Cyrodiil.
  • 2 of 27: He'll also promote you to Operative. (Talk to him about "promotion to Operative" to get some money and useful items.)
  • 3 of 27: Now you can finally get serious about finding the lost prophecies of the Nerevarine for the Urshilaku wise woman. Cosades tells you to consult with Mehra Milo about it.
  • 4 of 27: You last saw her in the Library of Vivec in the Vivec Temple area's Hall of Wisdom, so go back there.
  • 5 of 27: She's not in the library, so ask someone who is about her.
  • 6 of 27: They'll refer you to her room, which is behind a locked door near the Canon Office.
  • 7 of 27: Unlock the door and go inside to find a note to Amaya on top of the dresser.
  • 8 of 27: Amaya is her code word for trouble, so read the note and take the two levitation potions.
  • 9 of 27: Then go to the Mages Guild in the Foreign Quarter Plaza and buy a Divine Intervention scroll from Janand Maulinie if you don't have any. (Note that Milo's note said to get two, but the second one is for you, so you don't really need it if you don't want it to help you escape the Ministry of Truth.)
  • 10 of 27: When you're ready, levitate up to the huge floating rock called the Ministry of Truth that's above the Temple area.
  • 11 of 27: Find Alvela Saram on one of the catwalks and talk to her about "visit anyone."
  • 12 of 27: She's in on the gag, so she'll give you a key to the outer doors of the Ministry.
  • 13 of 27: There are several doors, but the best one to use is the one at the other end of the long catwalk that Saram is on. Once you're through it, you can just loop around to find the door to the Prison Keep right nearby.
  • 14 of 27: Note that the Ordinator guards in the Hall of Processing will automatically attack you unless you're a high-ranking member of the Temple faction. Even then you'd better not talk to them, or they might attack anyway. (Even if you're the Temple Patriarch, and are technically their ultimate boss.)
  • 15 of 27: The door to the Prison Keep is locked, but only at level 10, so it should be extremely easy to open with even a cheap lockpick or spell.
  • 16 of 27: Save your game before entering the Prison Keep, though, since the guards in there will attack you on sight no matter who you are.
  • 17 of 27: To deal with the guards, you can cast a Calm Humanoid or Command Humanoid spell on them or just try to dodge them long enough to find Milo's cell and get inside (the second levitation potion you got from Milo's room could come in handy with that).
  • 18 of 27: Milo's cell is the SW one of the three, and its door is locked at level 15. Again, that should be easy for you to pick. (Or you can find the key in a desk near the exit.)
  • 19 of 27: Once you're inside Milo's cell, talk to her to give her a Divine Intervention scroll and get instructions on what to do next.
  • 20 of 27: She said to travel to the Holamayan Monastery via Blatta Hateria's boat at the Ebonheart docks, so go talk to Hateria about "know you" and "go fishing." Then you can choose "Travel" to sail to Holamayan.
  • 21 of 27: You'll arrive at location 7 on the Holamayan map, near Vevrana Aryon and her boat.
  • 22 of 27: Talk to Aryon to learn that the monastery's entrance shield only opens between 6 and 8 in the morning and evening.
  • 23 of 27: Head up the stone path to the monastery. If it's not between 6 and 8 o'clock, you can either rest until it is, or you can use the console's TCL command to pass through the shield.
  • 24 of 27: Once inside, find Milo and Gilvas Barelo. Ask Barelo about "lost prophecies" to get two of them that should satisfy Maesa at the Urshilaku camp. He'll also give you "Kagrenac's Tools," which tells an interesting story about Dagoth Ur and the three tools you'll eventually need to find to defeat him.
  • 25 of 27: Now that you have the stuff that Maesa wants, boat on back to Khuul and return to the Urshilaku Ashlander Camp.
  • 26 of 27: Talk to Maesa in the wise woman's yurt about the lost prophecies to turn over what you have.
  • 27 of 27: Say goodbye to her and then talk to her again to start on the next main quest. (Remember that Cosades is gone, and you won't be reporting to him anymore. Do go and loot his house sometime, though.)
