Free Hides-His-Foot
- 1 of 12: Dren's last quest also has to do with slavery, so talk to her about that topic again to learn that a certain slave on the Dren Plantation in the Bal Ur region has the dirt on her evil uncle, Orvas Dren, and needs to be free to pass it along.
- 2 of 12: The Dren Plantation is at location 22 on the Bal Ur map. It's fairly easy to get to by heading north from Vivec's Foreign Quarter.
- 3 of 12: The slave is an Argonian named Hides-His-Foot, and is to be found walking around in the SW section of the plantation.
- 4 of 12: However, talking to him and telling him to follow you will rile up the guards, and they'll attack both you and Hides-His-Foot. That's bad, because Mr. Foot is almost certain to be killed. (You can't just run away and expect him to follow you, either.)
- 5 of 12: The way to handle this is to get the guards mad at you alone so you can kill them off without putting Hides-His-Foot in any danger.
- 6 of 12: First, enter the Shipping House and snatch the plantation slave key from off the desk on the upper floor.
- 7 of 12: Then go use the key to free any outdoor slave except Hides-His-Foot. Freeing other slaves is also a big no-no with the guards, and it isn't connected with Hides-His-Foot directly, so they'll leave him alone.
- 8 of 12: One of the outdoor guards is particularly tough in his Dwemer armor, so feel free to run away or teleport out and go rest somewhere if you can't take them all on at once.
- 9 of 12: Once all the outdoor guards are dead, talk to Hides-His-Foot to get him to follow you, then head north and east to Sterdecan's farm (location 17 on the map).
- 10 of 12: Approach the farmhouse door to drop off Hides-His-Foot, safe at last.
- 11 of 12: You can then talk to him about "little secret" if you want to learn a bit more about what he knows and why he had to make it to safety alive.
- 12 of 12: Report back to Ilmeni Dren to finish both the quest and this all-too-short series.
