The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
How can I restore skills and attributes that get drained?
1 of 5: If you ever check the stats menu and find that any of your attributes are in the red, that means you'll need to use a potion or spell to restore them.
2 of 5: Restore Attribute potions can be bought from many Mages Guild merchants (including Sharn gra-Muzgob in Balmora), but a better way to handle the situation is to buy any spell that restores an attribute (from Telis Salvani in the Balmora temple, for example) and then go to a spellmaker and make a separate spell for restoring each individual attribute.
3 of 5: You can customize your new spells to only restore an attribute by 5 points for 1 second, thereby making them extremely cheap to buy and cast. It's a lot better than lugging around a bunch of heavy potions.
4 of 5: If you ever check the stats menu and find that some of your *skills* have been drained, you'll need to go to an Imperial Cult altar and pay it for a Restore Attributes blessing. That'll not only restore your attributes, but all of your skills as well. This can work even if you have an artifact like the sword Fury readied that constantly drains your skills. (Note that this only works in patched versions of the game.) One way to quickly find the nearest Imperial Cult altar is to cast the Divine Intervention spell.
5 of 5: IMPORTANT: Before attempting to restore an attribute or skill, always remove any constant effect items that boost it.
