The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Why do I get a travel prompt when I equip the Daedric Sanctuary Amulet?
1 of 4: Because it wants to know if you'd like to travel to Lord Dregas Volar's sanctuary and try to kill him.
2 of 4: Volar is a very powerful enemy, and he wields one of the very best weapons in the game. He won't be easy to handle unless you're way up there in the levels.
3 of 4: However, if you manage to kill him, you'll be teleported back to Tel Fyr and given the ultra-cool Daedric Crescent, which is a two-handed long blade worth $180,000!
4 of 4: NOTE: If you're real "clever" and cast the Mark spell before killing Volar, you can then use Recall to return to his sanctuary and raid his corpse for a second Daedric Crescent. However, if you do that, there's no way out except using a console teleportation cheat (see link below). Intervention spells don't work, and the Tel Fyr Amulet that's on Volar and that's *supposed* to take you back to Tel Fyr will freeze the game if you equip it. Darn shame, that.
