The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
I can't find any hints about some particular thing I need help on.
1 of 7: That's quite likely, since Morrowind is so chock full of "particular things," I couldn't possibly cover them all in detail.
2 of 7: This hint file is divided into three major hint categories: general tips (the section you're in now), quest hints (organized into six major categories), and regional hints (one section for each of the 18 regions I divide the island of Vvardenfell into).
3 of 7: The general tips cover anything that's not specific to a particular area or quest. If you want to know how to build up your character, where to find the best treasure, what's best to do in tough combat situations, and stuff like that, the general tips section is what you need to read.
4 of 7: If you're doing anything because someone in the game told you to, then you're probably on a quest of some sort, and should check the various quest sections for information.
5 of 7: If your problem is specific to a certain area, and you're sure it isn't quest-related, then check the regional hint section for that area. It may or may not have hints addressing your specific problem. If it doesn't, then the problem is either more general and is covered in the general tips, or it's just too minor for me to put in special hints for it in the regional sections. Each region has way too many details to fully cover them all.
6 of 7: You could always try using the UHS Reader's "Find in File" feature to search for the name of a person, place, or item that you want to know about. If nothing is found, then it's probably not important, so if you're having too much trouble with it, then just leave it and move on to something else. There's *always* something else!
7 of 7: Of course, no hint file, no matter how well-written and well-organized it is, could possibly be as good as an actual human being in answering the questions that you have. When all else fails, contact me at dunigase@yahoo.com and ask me your question. I'll be happy to give you the best answer I can.
