Boots of the Apostle
  • 1 of 12: Varian's second Oracle quest is to find another legendary lost artifact.
  • 2 of 12: This time she has the decency to tell you exactly where it is.
  • 3 of 12: Berandas is the Daedra-infested stronghold at location 27 on the Gnisis map.
  • 4 of 12: Take the silt striders to Gnisis, then head SE of the strider port there to get to the stronghold.
  • 5 of 12: Enter the keep at the Top Level and make your way to the Bottom Level, and then the Underground level. There will be lots of powerful Daedra to fight, so come prepared.
  • 6 of 12: In the Underground, make your way down the SW passage to find a large cave room where two Winged Twilights are flapping around near the dead hero that has the Boots of the Apostle.
  • 7 of 12: After killing the monsters, raid the dead hero's body to get the boots.
  • 8 of 12: You can go and report success to Varian now, but there's more stuff to do here first.
  • 9 of 12: In the room with the dead hero, levitate up to a small cave ledge where a woman named Ama Nin is.
  • 10 of 12: Talk to her and give her a Divine Intervention scroll (you hopefully have one left from Varian's first quest). She'll give you two enchanted bits of clothing and a +1 to Reputation, and then vanish.
  • 11 of 12: You can walk carefully from Nin's cave around to a ledge with two locked treasure chests on it. The key to one of them (and the chest down near the dead hero) is on a dead body near the small circular lava pool down another passage.
  • 12 of 12: When you're through with all that, report back to Varian to finish the quest and get a bonus Reputation point for helping out Nin (who was really an earthly manifestation of the goddess Mara).
