The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Meet with Vivec.

  • 1 of 9: Once you've been named the Nerevarine of all four Ashlander camps and the Hortator of all three Great Houses (or have decided to skip all that), go talk to Tholer Saryoni in the High Fane building in Vivec after being told to do so by someone.
  • 2 of 9: Saryoni is behind the locked door in High Fane. If you don't have a key from doing either of the quests in the links below, then find the locked door in the Hall of Wisdom that also leads to High Fane and pick the lock.
  • 3 of 9: Talk to Saryoni about "Temple's doctrine" to get him to call a halt to all the hostilities you've recently experienced during your quests to be named Hortator and Nerevarine, and to be told to meet with Vivec in his palace.
  • 4 of 9: He'll give you a key that will open the powerful lock on the palace door, so head south from the Temple area to get to the palace, then enter it.
  • 5 of 9: Talk to Vivec about all the stuff that's been going on, and what all you need to do yet to finish the main quests.
  • 6 of 9: Accept the Wraithguard from him and swear to stop Dagoth Ur and all that good stuff. He'll teach you how to use Wraithguard, and it'll become a right gauntlet that you can wear.
  • 7 of 9: It's worth $500,000, and has a good AC plus lots of neat constant effects on it. It's not only essential to wear while using Keening or Sunder later on, but it's undoubtedly better than whatever you've got on your right hand now, so ready it and keep it on for the rest of the game.
  • 8 of 9: Now you're ready to go get the other two of Kagrenac's three tools, Keening and Sunder. Then you can go after Dagoth Ur and win the game!
  • 9 of 9: Also, now that you have Wraithguard, you can meet Wulf at Ghostgate and gain a useful new power.
