Stealing Tip
- 1 of 8: You can steal stuff now without getting into any real trouble, and can take good advantage of that fact starting in Ergalla's office.
- 2 of 8: Find the limeware platter on a shelf near Ergalla and pick it up, then quickly right-click to bring up your inventory and put the platter down on the floor.
- 3 of 8: That'll prevent it from being taken from you when the guard grabs you and warns you. It's safe to take from the floor afterwards.
- 4 of 8: A better way (in some other areas, especially) is to rearrange and minimize the size of all the menu windows so that you have a pretty big view area when you right-click to bring up the menus and pause the game.
- 5 of 8: When that's arranged, pause the game while facing a shelf or table full of stuff, then pick up one item at a time and drop it on the floor without unpausing until you've floored every item within reach that you want.
- 6 of 8: Then unpause and let a nearby guard catch you. He won't be able to take anything from you since you put it all on the floor.
- 7 of 8: This "multi-steal" technique is very useful in Sellus Gravius' office, and in any shops that have guards inside them if you take advantage of a glitch tip that's a little further down in these hints.
- 8 of 8: However, note that this technique isn't really useful once you finish the character creation process and really start the game. If you're seen taking a lot of items then, putting them on the floor will only prevent them from being confiscated by the guards -- you'll still have to go to jail or pay a fine (which will equal the total value of the items).
