Which race should I choose?
  • 1 of 4: Pick one whose skill bonuses and special features work well with the character class you plan to choose later.
  • 2 of 4: For instance, if you want to be a straight fighter, Redguard and Orc are good race choices, but Wood Elf and High Elf aren't.
  • 3 of 4: Using the information on the skill bonuses and special abilities of each race (which are listed in the race choice window and in the manual on pages 12 to 15), you should be able to make a good choice.
  • 4 of 4: Also note that you choose your character's gender at the same time as race. For the most part, it doesn't make any difference which gender you choose, but only male characters can do the optional Romance Quest series.
