The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
How can I ever get a 100-point Spell Absorption effect?
1 of 5: A 100-point Spell Absorption makes you totally immune to damage by magic spells, plus it recharges your magicka points a little bit every time a spell hits you.
2 of 5: To have any chance of getting it to 100 points, you'll have to choose the Atronach as your birthsign. That'll give you a big 50 points to start off with.
3 of 5: During game play, get the Necromancer's Amulet from Trebonius Artorius in the Vivec Mages Guild and the spear called Greed from the Telvanni vault in Vivec. That'll get your total up to 95 points.
4 of 5: For the last 5 points, either make do with temporary effect items (the Staff of Magnus is very good) or enchant several equippable items with 1 or 2 points of constant Spell Absorption. (It's an *extremely* expensive effect to enchant with!)
5 of 5: Even if you get it up to a total of 100 points or more, it may sometimes randomly fail during an attack. I guess the individual pieces of enchantment don't "fit together" quite perfectly.
