The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Boethiah's Quest

  • 1 of 15: Boethiah's shrine is the underwater one at location 22 on the Balmora map.
  • 2 of 15: Activate the broken-off head of the giant statue to get this quest.
  • 3 of 15: Boethiah wants you to get his shrine rebuilt somewhere above water, so go find a sculptor to do it.
  • 4 of 15: Go to Caldera in the Ald'ruhn region and ask around.
  • 5 of 15: Verick Gemain will refer you to an orc sculptor named Duma gro-Lag, who's on the top floor of Ghorak Manor.
  • 6 of 15: Speak to him about "sculptor" and ask him to recreate the shrine.
  • 7 of 15: He'll ask for some plans and 2,000 gold for expenses.
  • 8 of 15: The plans he wants are in the book called "Boethiah's Glory."
  • 9 of 15: The book can be gotten from Jobasha's rare book store in Vivec's Foreign Quarter Lower Waistworks. You can either buy it from him or steal it off a bottom shelf right next to him.
  • 10 of 15: As for the money, you can easily raise it by selling stuff to Creeper, who's also in Ghorak Manor (see following link).
  • 11 of 15: Give the plans and money to gro-Lag, and he'll tell you the new shrine will be out at Khartag Point, which is where the underwater orcish armor is (location 5 on the Ald'ruhn map).
  • 12 of 15: It'll take about 20 days after you give him the stuff for him to finish the statue.
  • 13 of 15: If you can't remember how long it's been since he started, you can check your journal to see what day number is on the entry about you giving him the gold and plans he needed. Also, you can go out to Khartag Point and see if he's finished yet.
  • 14 of 15: Once he is, activate the new Boethiah statue to finish the quest and get Goldbrand, a terrific artifact katana.
  • 15 of 15: TIP: To improve Goldbrand, become a vampire and then do the "All Clan Quest" called "Shashev's Key." See the Vampire Quest hints to learn more.
