The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Notes and Extras
of 9: You should search around all the shores and swampy areas to find mushrooms and other plants that you can raid for ingredients.
of 9: You can grab items without being seen on the top floor of the lighthouse. Also, if you stand so that there's a post between you and Thavere, you can steal anything that you can reach without moving from that spot.
of 9: If you can pick the lock on Eldafire's door, you can find a skill-enhancing book in her house, as well as a silver longsword in a locked chest. It's very useful against the ghosts in the tombs. (An easier silver weapon to get to is the dagger that's hiding between a crate and a crate lid in Terurise Girvayne's house.)
of 9: You can go pearl diving in the ocean. On many places on the ocean floor, especially along coastlines, are Kollop shells that you can open up and sometimes find pearls in. There are also several Kollops in the Nimawia and Akimaes Grottos.
of 9: There's a canoe with some stuff in containers on it near the entrance to the Akimaes Grotto.
of 9: There are two large hollow tree stumps near the lighthouse that have items hidden inside them. They're not the open-like-a-chest kind of stumps, so you have to get to where you can look down inside them and see what they've got. One of them can be raided by dropping down onto it from the boardwalk leading to the lighthouse's door. The other one is in a nearby swampy green pond and is hard to jump up onto (but it's worth the trouble because it contains an enchanted axe).
of 9: You can kill individuals who are alone inside houses without the town guards finding out. Once they're dead, you can loot the joint, store items there, rest there, etc. (Just don't try this with Sellus Gravius.)
of 9: You can also kill people who are outside if they wander off to where no one else can see you do the dirty deed. Just be sure not to bump off Indrele Rathryon, since she's part of a Thieves Guild quest later in the game. (Also don't mess with the guards.)
of 9: Be sure to lockpick the door on the top floor of Arrille's Tradehouse if you can. There's a bed you can rest in, some good armor under the bed, and a magic dagger under the pillow.
