The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Stronghold
of 17: Every high-ranking Great House member needs to have a stronghold of his very own, and you're no exception. Once you gain Aryon's patronage and get promoted to Mouth, you can start work on your very own Telvanni tower.
of 17: To start things off, go talk to Llunela Hleran in the Hermitage area of Sadrith Mora's Telvanni Council House.
of 17: She wants you to get a construction contract and fill two grand soul gems with the souls of powerful Daedra.
of 17: You can easily get the contract from Duke Vedam Dren in Ebonheart's Grand Council Chambers in Vivec by just giving him the promise he wants.
of 17: Turn the gems and contract in to Hleran to begin construction on the tower.
of 17: Go off and do other things for a few days until you get a journal entry saying to check in with Hleran.
of 17: She'll say to go to the construction site (location 20 on the Tel Aruhn map) and talk to Gashnak gra-Mughol. Do so, then return to Hleran.
of 17: After another waiting period and journal entry, talk to Hleran again to learn that she needs 5,000 gold and some Dwemer schematics in order to continue work.
of 17: You can raise the money quickly by selling valuable armor, weapons, and other stuff to the Creeper (see following link).
of 17: You can get the schematics from Mzanchend, which is a ways NW of your tower (location 15).
of 17: Look for the scroll entitled "Dwemer Schematic" on a shelf with some jewels in the NW room of the building.
of 17: Turn the money and schematics in to Hleran to finish your "regular" stronghold. For further enhancements, you'll have to wait until you're promoted to Master or Magister.
of 17: When you're ready, talk to Hleran to find out that she needs a unique book called "Secrets of Dwemer Animunculi" which is in the possession of Raxle Berne, the Berne vampire clan leader.
of 17: He and the book are in the observatory in Galom Daeus (location 18). That's not very far away, but it's a very tough fight to get in there and take the book. You might want to try sneaking in while invisible, and then quickly teleporting away once you have the book.
of 17: Note that when you pick it up and take it, you'll learn the Dwemer Animunculi spell, which can be used to summon a Centurion Sphere. (Unfortunately, it can't be used in spellmaking or enchanting.)
of 17: Give the book to Hleran to start the final phase of construction.
of 17: When the place is completed, go check it out. It'll even have Centurion Spheres for guards!
