Get Three Items From Kogoruhn
  • 1 of 13: Kogoruhn is at location 1 on the Dagoth Ur map. To get there, return to Khuul and take its silt strider to Maar Gan, then head north to the Falasmaryon stronghold, and then go east to Kogoruhn. (Or you could try heading SE from the Urshilaku camp and hope you hit it, but this route was always harder for me.)
  • 2 of 13: Two of the items you need are in the small Dome of Pollock's Eve area on Kogoruhn.
  • 3 of 13: Enter it and kill Dagoth Girer, then get the House Dagoth cup from on a table and the Corprus Weepings from on the floor next to an unlit brazier that's next to the big central pillar.
  • 4 of 13: The Dome of Urso and Temple of Fey areas nearby only have more Dagoths (and a Sixth House Bell Hammer in Fey), so skip them unless you want some extra combat and items.
  • 5 of 13: Enter the Hall of Phisto to start your long journey to the Shadow Shield.
  • 6 of 13: You can take the door in Phisto that leads to the Hall of the Watchful Touch if you want, but all you'll find there are enemies and an ebony spear stuck into a table in one of the rooms.
  • 7 of 13: To avoid Dagoth Delnus, turn left as soon as you enter the Hall of Phisto and go through the nearby door to the Hall of Maki.
  • 8 of 13: In the Hall of Maki, you'll want to find the locked door that leads to the Nabith Waterway. However, look around for some good treasure before you leave.
  • 9 of 13: The Nabith Waterway is basically just a sewer, so make your way to the door to Charma's Breath without wasting any time exploring or looting. There are a few containers of cheap stuff, but they're no big deal.
  • 10 of 13: In Charma's Breath, you're going to have to be very careful if you don't want to encounter a super-powerful Ash Vampire Dagoth. He and two lesser Dagoths are near the SW portion of Charma's Breath, near the door that leads outside to location 9 on the Dagoth Ur map. (Note that you could have entered the whole Kogoruhn area from there, but you would have had to deal with the Ash Vampire to get to Bleeding Heart.)
  • 11 of 13: To avoid the Ash Vampire, just head down the north branch at the four-way path split in Charma's Breath. That'll get you to the door to Bleeding Heart, where the Shadow Shield is.
  • 12 of 13: Explore Bleeding Heart until you find a big shrine area with a Dagoth in it. Kill him and search the place to find an orc warhammer, Daedric left and right gauntlets, and the Shadow Shield sitting on little altars.
  • 13 of 13: Once you have the shield, you're through here and can leave however you want to and return to Sul-Matuul in the Urshilaku camp and report success on this mission.
