The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Shashev's Key
1 of 6: Talk to Sirilonwe in the Vivec Mages Guild about "someone killed" to get this quest.
2 of 6: She'll ask you to kill a rival named Shashev and bring her his key.
3 of 6: You'll find Shashev in the Ald Skar Inn in Ald'ruhn. Just talk to him to get him to attack you.
4 of 6: Kill him and take his key and other stuff.
5 of 6: Return to Sirilonwe and say "someone killed" again to turn over the key. She'll let you keep the other stuff, including a magic ring that can cast Paralyze and Poison.
6 of 6: EASTER EGG NOTE: If you have the sword Goldbrand in your inventory (which can be gotten by doing Boethiah's Daedric Shrine Quest) and exactly 11,171 gold when you report success to Sirilonwe, you will get a weird message and have Goldbrand replaced with the superior Eltonbrand. (If you have more than 11,171 gold, then drop all but 11,171 before talking to Sirilonwe.)
