The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Sleepers Awake
of 12: This isn't really a quest that's given to you, but there's too much to it to ignore.
of 12: It'll start sometime during Cosades' quests to get info on the Sixth House and Nerevarine cults.
of 12: You may notice that certain people will walk up to you and initiate conversation about Dagoth Ur, the Sixth House, and all that evil crud.
of 12: They are Sleepers, and they have been tormented with evil dreams from Dagoth Ur, the ultimate villain for this game.
of 12: You can either just say goodbye and get away from them, or you can keep choosing the "Sixth House" dialogue option until their disposition is zero. Then they'll attack you when you say goodbye, and you can kill them and loot their bodies legally.
of 12: Also, if you sleep in Balmora, Vivec, or Ald'ruhn, you'll get some disturbing dreams yourself. However, you don't need to worry about them -- they won't drive you insane or anything like that. (Note that this quest will be added to your journal the first time you receive such a dream.)
of 12: You will also encounter people classified as Dreamers in various areas, including outdoors and in Sixth House bases. Some of them attack on sight, and others like to talk crazy first.
of 12: So where's the quest in all this? Simple. Put a stop to what's causing normal people to turn into these fiends.
of 12: You do that by finding the Sixth House bases and killing the priests in them.
of 12: You don't have to do these assassinations anytime soon. Cosades doesn't require it, so you can continue with his quests and finish this one later (or never).
of 12: TIP: Every time you kill off an offending dagoth, you can talk to the former Sleepers and Dreamers in the affected areas to get a one-point Reputation increase -- per person! That can really add up.
of 12: NOTE: This quest probably won't leave the active list in your journal until you finish the final main quest.
