The Dwemer's Bone
  • 1 of 11: Talk to Balen Andrano in the trader store in the Redoran Waistworks about "run of bad luck" and "change her luck" to get this quest.
  • 2 of 11: He'll give you an old dwarven bone and tell you to sneak it into Jeanne's stuff to bring her bad luck.
  • 3 of 11: Go to Jeanne's shop in the Foreign Quarter Canalworks and sneakily enter her private bedroom. (If she sees you, she'll come back there, and you don't want that.)
  • 4 of 11: Put the cursed bone in her chest, then leave.
  • 5 of 11: Report success to Andrano to get a Sleep Amulet.
  • 6 of 11: But that's not all! Go back to Jeanne's shop and see if the curse is working.
  • 7 of 11: Sure enough, a Dwarven Spectre will appear and attack.
  • 8 of 11: Talk to Jeanne before the Ordinator can kill the spectre, and you'll get the "terrible haunting" dialogue option.
  • 9 of 11: Choose it, then say goodbye and just wait for the Ordinator to finish off the spectre.
  • 10 of 11: Then talk to Jeanne again to get a Steel Shardmauler.
  • 11 of 11: As for the bone, its power is gone, so just leave it. You can't have fun with anyone else with it.
