The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Side Quest: Cure the Sleepers.
of 13: This isn't really a quest that's given to you, but there's too much to it to ignore.
of 13: It'll start during Cosades' quest to get info on the Sixth House and Nerevarine cults.
of 13: At some point, you may notice that certain people will walk up to you and initiate conversation about Dagoth Ur, the Sixth House, and all that evil crud.
of 13: They are Sleepers, and they have been tormented with evil dreams from Dagoth Ur, the ultimate villain for this game. You can either just say goodbye and get away from them, or you can keep choosing the "Sixth House" dialogue option until their disposition is zero. Then they'll attack you when you say goodbye, and you can kill them and loot their bodies legally.
of 13: Also, if you sleep in Balmora, Vivec, or Ald'ruhn, you'll get some disturbing dreams yourself. However, you don't need to worry about them; they won't drive you insane or anything like that. However, you may be attacked by an Ambusher (a Sixth House assassin) when you awake. Always save your game first.
of 13: You will also encounter people classified as Dreamers in various areas, including outdoors and in Sixth House bases. Some of them attack on sight, and others like to talk crazy first.
of 13: So where's the quest in all this? Simple. Put a stop to what's causing normal people to turn into these fiends.
of 13: You do that by finding the Sixth House bases and killing the priests in them.
of 13: To help the Vivec, Suran, and Arano Plantation areas, kill Dagoth Hlevul in the Assemanu base at location 4 on the Vivec map.
of 13: To help Balmora and Pelagiad, kill Dagoth Fovon in the Hassour base at location 12 on the Balmora map.
of 13: To help Gnisis, Ald Velothi, and Khuul, kill Dagoth Draven in the Subdun base at location 29 on the Gnisis map.
of 13: To help Ald'ruhn, find the Sixth House shrine in Hanarai Assutlanipal's basement in Ald'ruhn City and then kill her. (Note that this is also one ofLloros Sarano's Quests for Great House Redoran members.)
of 13: You don't have to do these assassinations anytime soon. Cosades doesn't require it, so you can continue with his quests and finish this one later (or never).
