The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
How do these quests work?
1 of 7: The Morag Tong is a legalized assassins guild that issues writs of execution for approved targets.
2 of 7: Just walking up to someone and killing him is always considered a crime and gets you a very hefty bounty.
3 of 7: But if you're on a Morag Tong writ quest, all you have to do when the guards catch you is present your official writ. If you have one for the person you killed, you'll be let go. (Note, however, that any stolen goods you're carrying will still be confiscated.)
4 of 7: You get the first writ quest as an initiation test from Eno Hlaalu when you talk to him about joining the Morag Tong.
5 of 7: After that, you can get the next available writ quests (always in sets of two or three) from Hlaalu or any of the following people:
6 of 7: It doesn't matter which of those people you get the writs from, or whom you report success to. Also, you can finish one in a pair and go get your reward for it before doing the other one.
7 of 7: Note that if you've already killed the person a writ is for before you get it, you'll only get promotion credit -- no money.
