Editing Your Character
- In order to use these cheats, you need to select your character so that the console window's title bar reads "Console (PlayerSaveGame)." Or instead, you could just add "player->" in front of each command, as in: player->setlevel 49.
Once that's done, you can type any of the following cheats to change your character. Always replace # with a number.
* setlevel # - Set your level to #. You have to rest and level up afterwards, or save and restore your game.
* sethealth # - Set your current and max health value to #.
* setmagicka # - Set your current and max magicka value to #.
* setfatigue # - Set your current and max fatigue value to #.
* set<attribute> # - Replace <attribute> with the name of an attribute to set it to #. For instance, to set Strength to 100, you'd type: setstrength 100. *WARNING*: Remove all temporary bonuses from an attribute before attempting to use a "set" cheat on it.
* set<skill> # - Works similarly to "set<attribute> #". When a skill has more than one word in its name, just leave out the spaces and hyphens, as in: setheavyarmor 100.
* setattackbonus # - Higher numbers make it easier for you to hit while attacking.
* setdefendbonus # - Higher numbers make it harder for melee attacks to hit you.
* setarmorbonus # - Adds # to armor class. To get it to register, remove and re-equip one piece of your current armor.
* setchameleon # - Sets a sort of "natural" Chameleon effect to make you hard to see.
* setresistmagicka # - Sets a "natural" Resist Magicka effect.
* setreputation # - Set your global reputation value to #.
* setflying # - Turn setflying on with # as 1, then cast the Levitate spell. You'll be able to levitate at the spell's strength even after it wears off. To stop levitating, turn setflying off with # as 0 and cast the same Levitate spell again.
* setwaterwalking 1 - Turn on water-walking mode. A 0 turns it off.
* setwaterbreathing 1 - Turn on water-breathing mode. A 0 turns it off.
* setswimspeed # - Set your swimming speed. 100 is fast and 1000 is way too fast!
NOTE: You can view the values of all of the above "set" items simply by replacing "set" with "get" and not using a number parameter. For instance, to see what your current innate magicka resistance is, type getresistmagicka.
* addspell "<spellname>" - Replace <spellname> with the name of the spell that you want to put into your character's spellbook. For instance, to give him the Chameleon spell, type: addspell chameleon.
* removespell "<spellname>" - Remove a spell from your spell list. This is only useful if you use "addspell" to give yourself a constant effect (see below), and later want to take it off.
The main usefulness of "addspell" is to put neat constant effects on you that you can't get otherwise.
