The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Withershins

  • 1 of 7: Aengoth's fourth quest is also a book-nabbing quest, but you may have to go a little farther for it.
  • 2 of 7: You're referred to Miles Gloriosus, who's staying in the Tradehouse in Maar Gan.
  • 3 of 7: He won't have anything to say about it, so you'll just have to steal it.
  • 4 of 7: It's in a locked chest in his room. You'll have to sneakily unlock the chest and steal the book without him seeing you. (Or you could close the door, kill him, and take his key.)
  • 5 of 7: Or you might prefer to go to Llaalam Mandalas' shop in Sadrith Mora. It's easier to get there (use the Mages Guild teleporter), and you don't have to unlock anything (though you do have to use Sneak mode to snatch the book).
  • 6 of 7: Also, there's a copy of "Withershins" on a little shelf near the altar in the Ald'ruhn Mages Guild (if you didn't nab it during Aengoth's first quest, that is).
  • 7 of 7: If you haven't read a copy of the book yourself yet, do so before turning it over to get a +1 to your Restoration skill. Then give it to Aengoth to get 1,000 gold.
