The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
Talk to an Ashlander informant.
1 of 14: After waiting or adventuring around for a day or so after completing the Vivec informant quest, you can talk to Cosades about orders again to get this quest.
2 of 14: Now you need to travel to Ald'ruhn City and talk to someone named Zainsubani about the Nerevarine Cult and the Ashlanders.
3 of 14: You can take the silt strider straight from Balmora to Ald'ruhn.
4 of 14: Find the Ald Skar Inn near the huge Manor District. Zainsubani is in there.
5 of 14: Talk to him about "business," then ask him about gift-giving customs.
6 of 14: If you then choose "thoughtful gift," he'll tell you that he loves poetry.
7 of 14: So get the man a poetry book.
8 of 14: You could go buy one from the nearby bookstore, but why bother? There are several books that will work down in one of the inn's small bedrooms.
9 of 14: One of the rooms has five books in it (two in a chest), three of which will work.
10 of 14: Those books are "Ashland Hymns," "The Five Far Stars," and "Words of the Wind."
11 of 14: Talk to Zainsubani about "business" and "thoughtful gift" again with any of those in your inventory to get him to cooperate.
12 of 14: Talk to him about "Ashlanders" to get the notes you need for Cosades.
13 of 14: Before you report success and consider this quest wrapped up, you may want to partake in a little side quest that involves Mr. Zainsubani.
