The Code Book
  • 1 of 9: Fire-Eye's next quest doesn't involve killing anyone ... or does it?
  • 2 of 9: You need to get the code book that Sottilde has in her possession.
  • 3 of 9: She's standing just inside the door of the South Wall Cornerclub. It's just a short trip over there from the Fighters Guild.
  • 4 of 9: However, she won't give you the code book no matter how high her disposition is if you're a Thieves Guild member.
  • 5 of 9: If you haven't joined the Thieves Guild yet, you can get her disposition up to 70 or so and get the book from her, but at the same time you'll make it impossible to ever join the Thieves Guild without using the PC Cheat Codes.
  • 6 of 9: So I guess you will have to kill her, unless you can successfully pick her pocket, which is very hard.
  • 7 of 9: If you can't nab the book on the sly, you might want to wait until your Sneak skill goes up and try again.
  • 8 of 9: Another way to get out of this is to wait until you give the Bitter Cup to Fire-Eye on an advanced Thieves Guild quest. Once you do that (and report to Jim Stacey to complete the Bitter Cup quest), she'll decide you don't have to get the code book because she's not working against the Thieves Guild anymore. If you use this trick, the journal may still show this quest as unfinished, but Fire-Eye will still give you the next quest.
  • 9 of 9: If you get the book, give it to Fire-Eye for a $50 reward.
