Mystery of the Druids Hints
How should I set the beads?
of 13: Maglor will tell you that the beads on the bars are settings for the calendar. Question Maglor about it in the meeting room after you look at the one in the cellar.
of 13: While the one upstairs is set to today's date, the basement one is set to a different time. The one in the cellar also has 2 more bars to indicate the hour and whether it is day or night. Otherwise, the five bars have the same number of slots as the one upstairs. Here is a Starting Positions Illustration of how each of those calendars appear when you first come upon them. (Note: I'm not really sure what the bottom four bars mean, but have given them a logical guess.)
of 13: Nothing needs to be done to the one in the upstairs conference room. You will be making adjustments to the one in the basement only.
of 13: Return to the basement room. Before you make any changes to this calendar, look in the crystal ball in the center of the room (right click) in the center of the room. What do you see?
of 13: Serstan has set this calendar to a date and time after the ritual is finished. To prevent the ritual, you need to change the calendar to a time -before- the ritual is completed.
of 13: Today the ritual has not yet been conducted. You have the calendar settings for today's date.
of 13: Move the beads on the five bottom bars to match today's date, leaving the two top bars alone. (Setting No. 2 Illustration)
of 13: Now the calendar is set to today: Hour 2 - Past Dark - Day 1 - 2nd ? - 3rd Season - 4th Moon Phase - and 5th Month. Look in the crystal ball now. Stonehenge is still intact.
of 13: You want to set the calendar just before the ritual begins, and today is not the day it will happen.
of 13: Serstan told you that it will take place 2 days from today. On the "Day" bar (the 3rd one from the top), position the bead in the 3rd slot. (Back where it was originally.)
of 13: You also know that it will happen 6 hours past dark. Set the bead on the top bar (hour) to the 6th space, and make sure the second bar is set to Night (in the right-most section).
of 13: Look in the crystal ball again. Do you see Serstan performing the ritual? If you do, you have done them correctly. If not, make adjustments to your settings.
of 13: From top to bottom, and numbering the slots beginning at the left side, the beads should be positioned thus: 6, 2, 3, 2, 3, 4, 5.
