Exactly which herbs should I use?
1 of 3: Add 2 ounces of the cinnamon first. They'll turn the water red.
2 of 3: Then add two of the dried leaves (from the unknown plant). Don't worry that the mixture looks like a "brown slop". After all, red and yellow combine to make brown.
3 of 3: The last herb to add is the aniseed -- one ounce. (If you tested the aniseed alone, you know that it turned the water blue.) The water in the bowl will turn absolutely clear again. It is ready.
