Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express Hints

How do I walk through the snow?

  • 1 of 7: You'll need a pair of snowshoes, which you can find on the train.
  • 2 of 7: Two pair, in fact: one broken and one brand new and unused. The new ones are the ones you need here; the broken ones are needed for something else, so you need them both eventually.
  • 3 of 7: The broken ones are under a seat in the Athens-Paris coach; the new ones are in a box in the Baggage car.
  • 4 of 7: In the Baggage car, one of the boxes is newer and larger than the others, and besides you can look closely at it --
  • 5 of 7: -- which reveals that the nails are loose. But not loose enough to pull out by hand; you'll need a hammer.
  • 6 of 7: The engineer has one, but he's (a) not willing to talk to you and (b) not willing to give you his hammer.
  • 7 of 7: Use the hammer on the nails to open the crate and take the snowshoes.
