Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express Hints

Poirot wants me to listen to people. How?

  • 1 of 5: He's shameless! at least when it comes to other people being sneaky. What he wants is for you to listen at each door in the coach.
  • 2 of 5: Unfortunately, your unaided ear won't do much good here. You need some kind of listening device --
  • 3 of 5: -- something low-tech, readily available, and beloved of cliché-writers everywhere. Think "I Love Lucy" type sophistication.
  • 4 of 5: People in 1950's sitcoms are always putting a glass to the wall to listen. Well, who knows, maybe it would help here.
  • 5 of 5: Go to the salon car and find the bar area in the middle. Take a glass from the shelf on the back and use it on each door in the Calais coach. You won't be able to hear something at every door, but try them all just in case.
