Murder in the Abbey Hints

What should I be doing inside the ossuary?

  • 1 of 17: The first thing to do is get both of the clocks in the side rooms moving again.
  • 2 of 17: Once you have done that, you can begin to work out what time those clocks should be set to in order to progress further.
  • 3 of 17: Look around the main hall of the ossuary for a clue to the times.
  • 4 of 17: Times are essentially just numbers. So have a look for something numerical.
  • 5 of 17: See the scribbling on the wall? You'll need to find a way to read it.
  • 6 of 17: The text is a reading from the bible. Genesis, to be exact. Moses X, verse I.
  • 7 of 17: Those are numbers, aren't they? Roman Numerals, to be precise.
  • 8 of 17: X is 10. And I is 1.
  • 9 of 17: So set the two clocks to these two numbers.
  • 10 of 17: Set the one in the room with the broken arm to X (ten).
  • 11 of 17: And set the one in the other room to I (one).
  • 12 of 17: Hmm, we heard a mechanism move, but nothing has visibly changed.
  • 13 of 17: Head into the third passage, to the stone wall.
  • 14 of 17: Has something changed in here.
  • 15 of 17: There's a stone that looks somehow different from the others.
  • 16 of 17: Push it.
  • 17 of 17: Voilá! We're out!
